Achromasia

Kluver-Barrera stain

  • A state in which the rough endoplasmic reticulum (Nissl body) of the neurons is disintegrated and not stained by Nissl stain is called achromia. This observation is often observed in neurons in the deep cortex of corticobasal degeneration.
