脱水行程は95%エタノール２槽目です。帰る前に95%エタノール３槽目に入れます。ところで、80%エタノールから95%エタノールに組織を入れてしばらくすると、組織が縮むのが肉眼的にも分かります。以前、エタノールにブタノールを混合して脱水すると組織の縮みが軽減すると教わりました。いつか検討してみたいと思いますが、中々チャンスがありません。

The tissue blocks are now immersed in 95% ethanol (2). Before going home, I will transfer the tissues to 95% ethanol(3). Tissue shrinkage is caused when tissues are transferred to 95% ethanol from 80% ethanol. I heard that a mixture of butyl alcohol and ethanol may keep the shrinkage of tissues a minimum. If I have a chance, I will try butyl alcohol.
