久しぶりに切り出しがありました。今週は脱水を行います。今は70%エタノール中に入っていますが、これから80%エタノールに液を変えます。今日帰宅する前に95%エタノールに液交換します。毎回フレッシュな液で脱水しています。お気づきの通り、私たちの教室には全自動包埋機はありません。毎日毎日検体がくるわけではないので、自動包埋機はあったのですが手放しました。件数が少ない場合は、手でまわす方が効率がよいと思います。
The brain dissection was performed in our lab. Now dehydration process is carried out. The tissue blocks were immersed in 70% ethanoI, so I changed the solution to 80% ethanol this morning, and I will change it to 95% ethanol before I go home. I use fresh ethanol every time to dehydrate tissue blocks. By the way, we do not have a tissue processing machine. We had one before, but we got rid of it because we don't often have requests to dissect a whole brain. It might be efficient to process tissue blocks manually in the case the number of dehydration process performed is not many.
