Bodian stain

  • The argyrophilic area indicated by the arrows is senile plaques. The lump-like portion in the central portion and the surrounding portion that is lightly and darkly stained is amyloid deposits, which can be visualized more clearly by performing Congo red staining or β-amyloid immunostaining.
