現在は脳出血が広範囲に及んでいるケースの標本作製をしています。一部のブロックは出血部位の組織がもろくなっていたので、ナイロンメッシュの袋に入れて脱水、中間剤置換、パラフィン浸透を行いました。包埋後に薄切したら、やや薄切しづらい。微妙な違和感を感じます。メッシュのせいでパラフィン浸透が充分できず中間剤が抜けきれなかったのかもしれません。次回は、工夫するかしないですね。

I am working on a case with widespread subdural and cerebral bleeding. Some blocks are fragile because the tissue was damaged by bleeding. So I put these blocks in nylon mesh bags one by one to prevent crumbling and carried out dehydration, clearing, and paraffin infiltration process. Now I am cutting them, and it is difficult to cut them smoothly. Maybe the nylon mesh bags prevented to displace the chloroform to paraffin wax.
