今回の依頼は小さくトリミングした組織８０個のパラフィン包埋です。普段は脳の半球など大きい組織のブロックを作成しているので慣れません。こんなに小さい組織がたくさんあると、さすがに手作業で包埋するのは嫌になります。そうか、自動包埋装置ってこういう時に役に立つんだ、と思いました。


I received the request to make paraffin blocks of 80 small trimmed tissues. I usually make blocks of large tissues such as the brain hemisphere, so I'm not used to handling small tissues. I hate paraffin embedding small ones manually. Well, I thought that the automatic embedding device would be useful in such a case.
