切り出しの時、脊髄神経がバラバラにならないように硬膜ごと脊髄といっしょに糸で結索します。薄切するときに糸があると切片に傷がついてしまうので、包埋前に糸を取り除きます。その糸をハサミでパチンと切るのですが、このがパチンという音が好きです。脊髄を包埋するときの小さな楽しみです。
When dissecting brains, spinal cord blocks and the spinal nerves need to be wrapped with dura and tied with the suture thread in order not for the nerves to be scattered. The thread needs to be cut before embedding the spinal cord blocks because the thread can cause a knife mark, an artifact which causes while sectioning. By the way, I like the cutting sound of a suture thread. This is one of my little pleasures when embedding spinal cord blocks.
