On November 27, 2015, we performed a remote pathology training at the Department of Molecular Pathology, Yokohama City University School of Medicine. Participants were fifth graders in the medical school, and about 90 people took the course.
For the training, a examine web room was created in advance in the neuropathology database server, and login accounts were individually distributed to each student who attended.
In the room, in addition to the lecture materials, there are contents for learning the pathology of central nervous system tissues and cells.
On the day, everyone was able to log in smoothly, and after briefly explaining how to use the database, they experienced the virtual slides as desired.
With virtual slides of some pathological images such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease and representative pathological images, pathological images were observed with virtual slides after understanding the disease and understanding the points of observation.
