最近は脳梗塞の標本をよくみています。ラボの標本室に所蔵されている古い標本です。昔は水平断の大きな標本を頻繁に作っていたようで、スライドグラスのサイズがとても大きいのが印象的です。昨日は特に大きな標本を発見しました。両半球の水平断切片です。スライドグラスのサイズは15cm×13cmです。梗塞巣の分布が一見して分かる素晴らしい標本だと思いました。これを作製した技師さんに敬意を表します。
I recently have a chance to look at old specimens of cerebral infarction from our specimen room to study cerebral infarction. In the old days, it seems that large horizontal specimens were often made, and it is impressive that the size of the glass slide is large. I found a particularly large specimen yesterday. It was a horizontal slice of both hemispheres. The size of the glass slide is 15 cm x 13 cm. I thought it was a good specimen to see the distribution of infarct lesions at a glance. I would like to pay tribute to the technician who created this.
