If the hematoxylin solution is stored at room temperature, the surface of the solution will be glaring. When that happens, this is the time to remake the solution. You can still use the solution even after filtering, though. We stock the newly made solution in the refrigerator and replace it with the older one. I made a new solution for the stock this week.
