HE：Transvers section of the muscle shows characteristics of myopathy such as round profile of fibres, increased frequency of internal nucei, and widened interstitial tissue in the endomysium. In the interstitial tissue, fibrosis and deposition of fatty tissue（★︎）are prominent. Some fibres stain deeper red than others (⬅). They are opaque fibres which are hyper-contracted due to influx of extracellular calcium through disrupted cell membrane.
